What is human-in-the-loop?

Also called: HITL, Human review Updated Reviewed by the AgentMio team

Definition

Human-in-the-loop is a way of using AI where a person reviews, edits or approves the AI's output before it takes effect, such as before a post is published.

Why it matters

AI is fast but can be wrong or off-brand. A human check keeps quality and accountability while still saving most of the work.

How to do it

  1. AI prepares the work, such as a draft post.
  2. A person reviews it and approves, edits or declines it.
  3. Only approved work goes live.

Example

Every post AgentMio creates in the app waits for human approval before it is published. Data-feed posts do too by default, unless the team turns on auto-approve for time-sensitive events.

FAQ

Does human-in-the-loop slow things down?

Slightly, but reviewing a ready draft takes minutes, compared with hours to produce it from scratch.
