What is a data feed?

Also called: Event feed Updated Reviewed by the AgentMio team

Definition

In AgentMio, a data feed is a secured webhook for a brand: your app or backend sends events, such as a new release or a price change, and AgentMio turns them into posts in the brand's voice.

Why it matters

Data feeds keep social channels in step with your product without anyone copying release notes into a prompt.

How to do it

  1. Each brand gets its own data feed URL and secret.
  2. Your system sends an event with the details, such as the version and what changed.
  3. AgentMio drafts posts in the brand's voice. They wait for approval by default, or publish straight away if auto-approve is on for that feed.

Example

An app's release pipeline sends a release event for version 2.4.0. AgentMio prepares an X post, a LinkedIn post and an Instagram carousel about it.

Data feed vs. posts API

With the posts API, you send the post itself. With a data feed, you send the event, and AgentMio writes the posts.
